Jeff Hooke
Jeff
Hooke has more than 25 years experience in investment banking,
private equity
and corporate finance. He previously worked as an investment
banker at Lehman Brothers and Wertheim Schroder in New York,
completing many mergers and acquisitions, IPO’s and private
placements. He was a senior investment officer at the World Bank’s
private sector division and an executive at the Emerging Markets
Partnership, a $5 billion private equity group.
He
is the author of three books on finance, valuation and investment.
His valuation
book, Security Analysis on Wall Street, is required reading for
the CFA exam, and was called “a welcome successor to Graham
and Dodd” by Barron’s, the national investment magazine.
Mr. Hooke holds an MBA
from the Wharton School and a BS from the University of Pennsylvania.

Gavian
Peter Gavian
founded Corporate Finance of Washington in 1976.
Previously, he was a venture capitalist and an international
operations executive at Fortune 500 companies. He has completed
numerous financing and M&A transactions.
A past President of
the Washington Society of Investment Analysts and of the Washington
Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers, he has published
numerous articles on valuation and corporate management. He holds
an MBA from Harvard and a BA from Yale.
